In the context of the digital transformation of education, evaluating the effectiveness of digital tools in teaching English has become particularly relevant. The purpose of this study is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the impact of various digital educational resources on the development of students’ linguistic and communicative competencies. The study employed methods of pedagogical experimentation, questionnaires, testing, and statistical data analysis. The participants included students of non-linguistic specialties divided into control and experimental groups. Digital tools integrated into the educational process of the experimental group included interactive online platforms, mobile applications, automated assignment assessment systems, and multimedia resources.
The results demonstrated that the use of digital tools contributes to improving English language proficiency, particularly in listening and speaking skills, as well as increasing students’ motivation and engagement in the learning process. Statistical analysis revealed significant differences between the control and experimental groups (p < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of implementing digital technologies. In addition, key factors influencing the successful use of digital tools were identified, including the level of digital literacy of both students and teachers, as well as the methodological validity of their application.
The practical significance of the study lies in the development of recommendations for the effective integration of digital resources into the process of teaching English. The findings may be used in the modernization of educational programs and the development of digital courses.
The key factors contributing to increased motivation, individualization of learning, and the development of all components of communicative competence (linguistic, sociocultural, pragmatic, and strategic) are identified.
It is substantiated that the systematic use of digital platforms within blended learning and flipped classroom models leads to a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes. Special attention is paid to implementation barriers and conditions for effective technology integration.
The research hypothesis is confirmed: purposeful and pedagogically grounded application of digital educational platforms significantly improves the quality of language competence formation in the context of digitalization of education.
