Abstract

This article compares two methods for solving nonlinear equations — the classical Newton method and the modified Newton method. The solution of the same example is presented for both methods, along with their calculations in Excel. Based on the results, the efficiency and accuracy of the methods are analyzed, highlighting their advantages and limitations.
