Abstract

In this paper, the free vibration of a rectangular three-layer plate is considered. It is assumed that the four corners of the plate are fixed with immovable hinges. The vibration equation of the plate is derived based on the variational principle. The obtained vibration equation is solved analytically and corresponding numerical results are obtained. The numerical results obtained using the developed methodology are compared with the results obtained using software tools.
