This article examines modern scientific approaches and practical technologies for reducing latency in computer networks. The paper provides a detailed analysis of the nature of network latency, its causes, and its impact on information transmission systems. The main focus is on modern methods such as protocol optimization, network infrastructure modernization, Edge Computing technology, Content Delivery Network (CDN) systems, and Software-Defined Networking (SDN). Additionally, Quality of Service (QoS) mechanisms, traffic management algorithms, and hardware solutions for latency reduction are considered. Based on the research results, practical recommendations for improving network performance efficiency have been developed.
