COMPARATIVE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIGITAL PLATFORMS IN DEVELOPING SPEECH COMPETENCIES IN DISTANCE FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING
Keywords:

Research purpose: A comprehensive evaluation of the didactic functions of modern digital platforms (Zoom, Moodle, Google Classroom, MS Teams) and determination of their effectiveness in developing speech activity types in foreign language teaching.
Research methods: The study combines theoretical analysis of ICT tools, functional mapping of educational platforms, and a representative survey of Fergana State University students to measure the productivity level of DET.
Research results: A comparative matrix of platform functions has been formed, identifying the strengths of automation systems (Moodle) and video communication (Zoom, Google Classroom). It was established that the development of receptive skills shows the highest efficiency indicators: reading reaches ~90% (Moodle), listening — ~85% (Zoom). Productive skills (writing — ~80% via MS Teams, speaking — ~75% via Google Classroom) require enhanced interactive support due to the identified risks of concentration drop (50%) and technical failures (50%).
Conclusions: Each platform has a distinct functional specificity. Achieving the maximum synergistic effect in language education is possible only with the hybrid integration of synchronous interaction platforms and learning management systems.
